The Zarooq Sand Racer is a supercar dune buggy.
Here are some pictures comparing the MOC and the actual car, side to side:

This was the only photo I could find showing its doors open. They look like butterfly doors, but I’m not sure. I tried to mimic them the best possible.

This was also the only photo I could find showing its interior design. I also tried to resemble it the most possible in the MOC.
I couldn't find specific information about many aspects of the car, so I had to get creative in a lot of areas.
Worth mentioning features or details:
-Hand of God steering
-Independent front suspension
-Live axle rear suspension
-Functional fake engine connected to the rear wheels via a differential
-Openable doors
-Openable hood with a frunk in which you can store a suitcase
-Openable engine bay via a lever on each side of the car
-Aside from all the visible exterior details, it also has a modelled interior that tries to mimic the real vehicle.

Functions:
- Cabin door is openable.
- Hog front-wheel steering via steering wheel behind the cab.
- Upper structure 360º manual rotation via the exhaust pipe behind the cab.
- Front and rear blades control independently via levers on the sides.
- Fore boom, dipper boom and bucket can be manually and fully controlled using three levers at the rear of the counterweight.Worth mentioning aspects:
- While creating this MOC, my focus was on its playability, everything else is secondary. The highlight is obviously the ability to have full control over the excavator’s booms and bucket using a simple lever system. It can perform very realistic and smooth movements, but it depends on your ability to control them. It may be easy to use, but difficult to master, very rewarding nonetheless.

- Reasonable ground clearance for its size and type of vehicle (3 studs).
- The batteries can be easily swapped from below.
- The hub button can be pressed by pushing the driver's seat.
- The mechanism to unload the spare tire needs to be manually unlocked, it then slides down on its own.Designer Notes:
Designing an optimized chassis saved a lot of pieces which I then used to create a more elaborated body, a simple interior, front grid, bull bar and even included a mechanism to slide and unload the spare tire, which is its only manual function. To achieve the objective, several design choices had to be made:
- It has no transmission, and the rear wheels run directly on the motors: no gears involved means no friction and better performance.
- Live axle suspension was used both at the front and rear, this allowed me to use solid axles with a simpler design, reducing complexity all around and using way fewer pieces on the chassis.
- I chose not to use the planetary wheel hubs available on the set for two reasons, they would add complexity to the build, and most importantly, despite being lubricated on the inside, they still create a bit of drag if used for example on the front wheels, which have no traction and I really wanted to avoid all kinds of drag or friction.Building Instructions:
- Instructions for cable management are included.
- To guarantee the correct operation of the MOC, I implemented limiters for the steering and suspension (both rear and front), these are pointed out on their respective steps and the option to take them out is also available.
- Real pictures are included whenever there is the need to see in detail.
- A detailed step-by-step tutorial is also included to set up the "Powered Up" app and control the MOC.

This MOC features remote-controlled rear-wheel drive and steering, along with rear axle suspension that improves handling. The batteries can be swapped with only minimal disassembly, and the building instructions include clear, step-by-step guidance for clean cable management of all electric components. By default, the drivetrain uses a 1.4:1 gear ratio, which I find ideal for indoor driving. However, by using the spare gears included in set 42037, the ratio can easily be changed to 1.67:1, 1:1, or even 1:1.67, all with very minor structural adjustments. The model is built at the same scale as LEGO® Technic figures, and one can even be seated in the driver’s position, an extra detail that makes the build more interesting.

This MOC was createdto test a two-Buggy motors setup. As the name suggests, it’s an all-wheel-drive SUV featuring front and rear differentials, independent suspension on all four wheels, and remote control via Power Functions elements. The drivetrain is powered by two Buggy motors, both currently supplied by a single PF battery box, which turned out to be a limiting factor.

While the model runs and is fully functional, this setup doesn’t allow the motors to reach their full potential. The original prototype used one IR receiver to power both motors, but they would hiccup under light load. I later revised the MOC to use two IR receivers, one per motor, which improved performance slightly; however, since both receivers still draw power from the same battery box, occasional power drops remain.I don’t have a BuWizz or a second battery box at the moment, so I’m publishing the instructions for anyone who wants to try this model with a dual battery setup or a BuWizz and really put it to the test.Enjoy the build, and feel free to share your results. I’d love to see how it performs with proper power delivery. Find me on my socials.

As the name suggests, this MOC is built around a subtractor mechanism. If you’re unfamiliar with the concept, a quick online search will give you plenty of explanations and variations, but essentially, a subtractor allows a tracked vehicle to turn smoothly and be controlled just like a standard RC car: one control for forward or backward motion and another for steering (see reference image below).I built this MOC because, while many subtractor designs exist, there are surprisingly few complete models that actually make use of one. So this is my contribution to filling that gap.The model is largely based on parts from set 42095, making it a strong starting point if you own that set. You’ll just need some extra liftarms, gears, and a handful of miscellaneous elements.Note that only one L-motor drives the vehicle, while the second L-motor is dedicated entirely to steering, unlike traditional tracked models where both motors provide propulsion. Because of this, I geared the drivetrain down to a ratio of 1.667:1 to give the vehicle a bit more torque.

This is a remote-controlled 1:10 scale Roadster built with LEGO® Power Functions elements. It’s an original, fictional model featuring rear-wheel drive through a differential with a 1:1 gear ratio, powered by two PF XL motors, along with front-wheel steering controlled by a PF servo motor. All four wheels use independent suspension, and the car includes a functional fake engine that can be driven manually by rolling the car or powered independently by a dedicated PF M-motor.Both doors are openable and semi-automatic, once unlocked, they open on their own and only need to be closed manually. Each door has its own locking mechanism to keep it securely shut during driving. A switch located underneath the car allows you to engage or disengage the fake engine from the main drivetrain for smoother RC performance when needed.

The transmission is the simplest I could get it to be, in order to reduce friction.

I also wanted to keep the steering as simple as possible, it's just a pinion and rack.

The independent front suspension requires a more complex build because I really wanted to use those F1 wishbone arms.

The independent rear suspension is also very simple to build.

The connection between the fake engine and the transmission is one of the most interesting parts of the model. The engine can run independently using the dedicated M-motor, but because it’s linked to the drivetrain, it will also speed up or slow down automatically as the car moves. No matter whether the car is driving forward or in reverse, the engine always rotates in the same direction. The mechanism handles this by automatically shifting between two different gear paths depending on the car’s movement, ensuring that the fake engine runs consistently and smoothly.

This is a very small-scale LEGO® Technic dump truck MOC, measuring just 27 cm long, 10 cm wide, and 16 studs high, quite compact for a truck. Despite its size, it has reasonable ground clearance and is fully remote-controlled: a PF servo motor handles steering, while a PF L-motor powers two of the four rear wheels. The default gear ratio is 1.667:1, giving the truck moderate speed but substantial torque, which can be adjusted if desired. The dump bed can be manually lifted using a side crank that operates a small linear actuator, simulating a hydraulic lift piston. The tailgate is secured with an axle that acts as a hook, it must be removed for the tailgate to open as the bed is lifted. The battery pack and IR receiver are housed inside the dump bed, with wires cleverly hidden in the chassis, and the building instructions explain how to conceal them. The battery pack can be turned on or off via a side button on the dump bed. This build uses mostly Technic pieces, with only a few system elements.A compact, functional, and educational MOC, perfect for RC enthusiasts and small-scale Technic builders. Enjoy building!

This MOC is an evolution of my recent RC Budget Racer, which was originally designed to use as few pieces as possible and rely on very common parts so that builders with smaller collections could easily recreate it. While working on that model, I saw that it had the potential to become something more refined, so I created this upgraded variant: the RC Azure Racer. In this version, the steering has been improved with a servomotor for more precise control, the rear-wheel gearing has been updated to a faster 1:3 ratio, and the overall aesthetics have been refined with a new color scheme and a few subtle visual adjustments. The result is a cleaner, faster, and more responsive RC racer.I hope you have all the necessary parts to enjoy building this enhanced RC Azure Racer.

The goal was to keep the build close to 200 pieces and rely on common, widely available parts, making it easy for most builders to recreate. It features rear-wheel drive with a solid axle and a default 1:1 gear ratio (easily adjustable to other ratios), powered by a single L-motor. Steering is return-to-center, driven by another L-motor and stabilized with a rubber-band mechanism.A compact, nimble little racer that’s quick to build and fun to drive.

This compact, small-scale LEGO® Technic racer is built on top of my budget Power Functions RC chassis (see its page for details).Because it uses the same platform, it inherits all core functions: rear-wheel drive through a differential and precise front-wheel steering powered by a servo. The default gear ratio is 1.4:1, but the drivetrain can be easily adjusted to other ratios with only minor tweaks to the chassis, making it a flexible base for tuning speed and performance.

As the name suggests, this MOC is a compact, small-scale LEGO® Technic muscle car built on top of my Power Functions RC chassis (see its page for details).Because it uses the same platform, it inherits the chassis functions: rear-wheel drive via an L-motor and front-wheel steering powered by a servo.
The small scale limits how much detail can be added, but this model still includes classic muscle-car elements such as a hood scoop, side exhaust pipes, and a fastback-style rear, along with a few other subtle design touches.A simple and fun example of what you can build using the compact RC chassis.

Controlling a LEGO® Technic RC car with the standard Power Functions IR remote isn’t very intuitive. The two vertical buttons work fine for drive, but using the second button for steering often feels awkward and imprecise. This simple LEGO Technic steering wheel add-on transforms the PF remote into a far more natural and realistic controller. By attaching a compact steering wheel to the right button, you get smoother steering, better precision, and a much more enjoyable RC driving experience.I use this exact setup for all my LEGO Technic remote-controlled cars, and it makes a huge difference in playability.✔ Easy build
