Rebuild your "Ferrari FXX K" set 42212 into the iconic "Ferrari 330 P4" alternative model using my digital building instructions! No extra parts needed, just the 42212 set!

The Ferrari 330 P4 (1967) is one of the most beautiful and dominant endurance race cars ever built. Powered by a 4.0L V12, it became legendary for Ferrari’s historic 1-2-3 finish at the 1967 24 Hours of Daytona. An icon of the golden era of motorsport, it symbolizes Ferrari’s rivalry with Ford and peak 1960s racing design.Comparison Shots:

Functions:- Hand of God steering, the knob is removable for displaying purposes.
- Functional V12 fake engine connected to both rear wheels via a differential.
- Openable doors at an angle.
- Openable rear clamshell engine cover. Designer Notes:
I originally planned to replicate the thin A-pillars and the distinctive gray window frames of the doors. However, the parts inventory of set 42212 proved too limited to achieve this accurately. The available solutions were either too bulky, compromised the scale and proportions, or interfered with other structural elements. For that reason, I opted for a cleaner open-cockpit design. On the real car, a spare wheel is mounted behind the engine. Unfortunately, this detail couldn’t be included, as the donor set only provides four wheels. Other small features, such as side mirrors, were also omitted due to the compact scale of this LEGO replica.

The highlight is obviously the ability to have full control over the excavator’s booms and bucket using a simple lever system. It can perform very realistic and smooth movements, but it depends on your ability to control them. It may be easy to use, but difficult to master, very rewarding nonetheless.Photos:

Rebuild your Lego Technic "4x4 X-treme Off-Roader" set 42099 into this "Terrain Explorer" truck alternative model using these digital building instructions. No extra parts needed!
Functions:- Remote-controlled steering and rear-wheel drive
- Live axle front and rear suspension
- Spare tire manual unload mechanism
Worth mentioning aspects:
- It's RWD with a gearless 1:1 ratio.
- Reasonable ground clearance for its size and type of vehicle (3 studs).
- The batteries can be easily swapped from below.
- The hub button can be pressed by pushing the driver's seat.
- The mechanism to unload the spare tire needs to be manually unlocked, it then slides down on its own.
Designer Notes:
Designing an optimized chassis saved a lot of pieces which I then used to create a more elaborated body, a simple interior, front grid, bull bar and even included a mechanism to slide and unload the spare tire, which is its only manual function.
To achieve the objective, several design choices had to be made:
- It has no transmission, and the rear wheels run directly on the motors: no gears involved means no friction and better performance.
- Live axle suspension was used both at the front and rear, this allowed me to use solid axles with a simpler design, reducing complexity all around and using way fewer pieces on the chassis.
- I chose not to use the planetary wheel hubs available on the set for two reasons, they would add complexity to the build, and most importantly, despite being lubricated on the inside, they still create a bit of drag if used for example on the front wheels, which have no traction and I really wanted to avoid all kinds of drag or friction.
Building Instructions:
- Instructions for cable management are included.
- To guarantee the correct operation of the MOC, I implemented limiters for the steering and suspension (both rear and front), these are pointed out on their respective steps and the option to take them out is also available.
- Real pictures are included whenever there is the need to see in detail.
- A detailed step-by-step tutorial is also included to set up the "Powered Up" app and control the MOC.Photos:

Rebuild your Lego Technic "4x4 X-treme Off-Roader" set 42099 into this "Wild Beast" racing buggy with amazing RC performance!
Functions:- Remote-controlled drive and steering
- Live, rear axle suspension
Worth mentioning aspects:
- It's rear-wheel drive with a gear ratio of 1:1.67 and the two xl-motors drive one wheel each.
- The front wheels have a positive caster angle for a steering with increased precision.
- Mostly, decent ground clearance (4 studs), except for two specific points (which are 2.5 studs above the ground).
- There is a button in the cabin to turn the PU hub on.
- Batteries can be easily swapped from below the car.
Designer notes: This MOC was created from the ground up to be fast and the chassis was designed with very specific build choices to accommodate speed.
I believe this is the fastest alternative model you'll find for this set.
Building Instructions:
- Instructions for cable management are included.
- Real pictures are included whenever there is the need to see in detail.
- Needs a custom profile from the Powered Up app to be controlled. Detailed steps are provided within the MOC building instructions for this as well.Photos:

Rebuild your Lego Technic set 42099 "4x4 X-treme Off-Roader" into a Jeep-like Off-Roader as an alternative model using my digital building instructions. No additional parts needed!
- Remote-controlled 4x4 drive and steering
- Pendular suspension on the front axle
- Live axle suspension in the rear
Worth mentioning aspects:
- It's 4x4 with one XL motor driving the front wheels through a differential, and another XL motor driving the rear wheels through another differential.
- The final gear ratio is 1.4:1
- Decent ground clearance for off-roading, 4 studs at the front axle, 5 studs at the rear axle.
- The planetary wheel hubs are not used on this MOC.
- The Powered Up hub is freely accessible in the rear.
- Batteries can be easily swapped without disassembling anything.
- Uses the same Control+ profile as the set 42099 original model.
Believe it or not, this specific Jeep-like Rat Rod was the inspiration for my MOC design. The initial idea was to build a similar rat rod MOC, but I realized it would have very little ground clearance, which is not good for RC cars, so I changed direction halfway through the build to a proper Jeep-like off-roader.
Looking at my Jeep LEGO Technic MOC it's noticeable that it still loosely resembles the source model shapes. Photos:

Rebuild your good old Lego Technic “Formula Off-Roader” set 42037 into a remote-controlled “Monster Pickup Truck” alternative model with the help of some Power Functions elements!

This MOC features remote-controlled rear-wheel drive and steering, along with rear axle suspension that improves handling. The batteries can be swapped with only minimal disassembly, and the building instructions include clear, step-by-step guidance for clean cable management of all electric components. By default, the drivetrain uses a 1.4:1 gear ratio, which I find ideal for indoor driving. However, by using the spare gears included in set 42037, the ratio can easily be changed to 1.67:1, 1:1, or even 1:1.67, all with very minor structural adjustments.
The model is built at the same scale as LEGO® Technic figures, and one can even be seated in the driver’s position, an extra detail that makes the build more interesting.Photos:

As the name suggests, it’s an all-wheel-drive SUV featuring front and rear differentials, independent suspension on all four wheels, and remote control via Power Functions elements. The drivetrain is powered by two Buggy motors, both currently supplied by a single PF battery box, which turned out to be a limiting factor.
While the model runs and is fully functional, this setup doesn’t allow the motors to reach their full potential. The original prototype used one IR receiver to power both motors, but they would hiccup under light load. I later revised the MOC to use two IR receivers, one per motor, which improved performance slightly; however, since both receivers still draw power from the same battery box, occasional power drops remain.I don’t have a BuWizz or a second battery box at the moment, so I’m publishing the instructions for anyone who wants to try this model with a dual battery setup or a BuWizz and really put it to the test.
Enjoy the build, and feel free to share your results. I’d love to see how it performs with proper power delivery. Find me on my socials.

I built this MOC because, while many subtractor designs exist, there are surprisingly few complete models that actually make use of one. So this is my contribution to filling that gap.
The model is largely based on parts from set 42095, making it a strong starting point if you own that set. You’ll just need some extra liftarms, gears, and a handful of miscellaneous elements.
Note that only one L-motor drives the vehicle, while the second L-motor is dedicated entirely to steering, unlike traditional tracked models where both motors provide propulsion. Because of this, I geared the drivetrain down to a ratio of 1.667:1 to give the vehicle a bit more torque.

Both doors are openable and semi-automatic, once unlocked, they open on their own and only need to be closed manually. Each door has its own locking mechanism to keep it securely shut during driving. A switch located underneath the car allows you to engage or disengage the fake engine from the main drivetrain for smoother RC performance when needed.

The transmission is the simplest I could get it to be, in order to reduce friction.
I also wanted to keep the steering as simple as possible, it's just a pinion and rack.
The independent front suspension requires a more complex build because I really wanted to use those F1 wishbone arms.
The independent rear suspension is also very simple to build.
The connection between the fake engine and the transmission is one of the most interesting parts of the model. The engine can run independently using the dedicated M-motor, but because it’s linked to the drivetrain, it will also speed up or slow down automatically as the car moves. No matter whether the car is driving forward or in reverse, the engine always rotates in the same direction. The mechanism handles this by automatically shifting between two different gear paths depending on the car’s movement, ensuring that the fake engine runs consistently and smoothly.Photos:

Despite its compact size, it offers reasonable ground clearance for off-roading, and the battery pack is easily swappable. The design style was inspired by the cars from the popular video game Rocket League, giving it a sporty and dynamic look.
A fun, functional, and fast RC build that combines realistic suspension at the front with playful, game-inspired styling.

RC Small Dump Truck MOC

The dump bed can be manually lifted using a side crank that operates a small linear actuator, simulating a hydraulic lift piston. The tailgate is secured with an axle that acts as a hook, it must be removed for the tailgate to open as the bed is lifted. The battery pack and IR receiver are housed inside the dump bed, with wires cleverly hidden in the chassis, and the building instructions explain how to conceal them. The battery pack can be turned on or off via a side button on the dump bed.
This build uses mostly Technic pieces, with only a few system elements.
A compact, functional, and educational MOC, perfect for RC enthusiasts and small-scale Technic builders. Enjoy building!

In this version, the steering has been improved with a servomotor for more precise control, the rear-wheel gearing has been updated to a faster 1:3 ratio, and the overall aesthetics have been refined with a new color scheme and a few subtle visual adjustments. The result is a cleaner, faster, and more responsive RC racer.
I hope you have all the necessary parts to enjoy building this enhanced RC Azure Racer.

Because it uses the same platform, it inherits all core functions: rear-wheel drive through a differential and precise front-wheel steering powered by a servo.
The default gear ratio is 1.4:1, but the drivetrain can be easily adjusted to other ratios with only minor tweaks to the chassis, making it a flexible base for tuning speed and performance.

About Me
Hello! I’m Davejsp, an independent LEGO® Technic designer and lifelong Technic enthusiast.I design high-quality alternate builds for official Technic sets, as well as fully original MOCs ranging from compact, budget-friendly experiments to more advanced, feature-rich models. Every design starts from the same goal: creating something fun, functional, and satisfying to build, using clever mechanics and realistic solutions whenever possible.Over time, I’ve shared my LEGO Technic MOCs on several online platforms. While they can be useful, I often found that platform complexity, restrictive rules, features hidden behind paywalls, high service fees, or simple discoverability issues made the experience less enjoyable for both designers and builders. Great MOCs can easily get buried and difficult to find, and accessing instructions can become unnecessarily complicated. So I decided to take a different route. This website is my own space, built around a simple idea: focus entirely on the MOCs and make them easy to access. No clutter, no distractions, no forced registrations. If a model is free, you can view the instructions right away. If it’s a premium MOC, you can purchase and access the instructions in just a couple of clicks. That’s it.The site is designed to be fast, clear, and intuitive, whether you’re casually browsing for inspiration or looking for an alternate build for a specific Technic set. Everything is organized by category, navigation is kept minimal, and the emphasis is always on the models themselves. This is a website made by a LEGO Technic fan, for LEGO Technic fans: a place where creativity comes first, builds are easy to explore, and the experience stays enjoyable from start to finish. Some of my LEGO Technic MOCs are released as premium building instructions. This helps cover the cost of new sets, parts, and development time, and allows me to keep creating more models, including many free ones. If you enjoy my work, purchasing a premium MOC or leaving a tip directly supports future designs.
Whether you build a free model, grab a premium one, or just browse for inspiration, I’m glad you’re here.If you’d like to chat, share feedback, or show me something you’ve built, feel free to reach out. You can find me on my social platforms linked in the site footer, or get in touch through the contact section. I’m always happy to connect with fellow LEGO Technic enthusiasts and talk builds, ideas, or mechanics. Thanks for stopping by, and happy building!
